The story behind the print

Every tiny dot is a knot tied by hand around a pinch of cloth, thousands of them, before the dye ever touches it. Open the knots and the pattern appears, exactly where the colour was held back. It is the cloth of weddings and festivals, passed from one generation to the next.

We took that story and gave it a modern, quiet shape, something to wear, use and keep, with the patience of the original still in it. This design is inspired by the tradition and printed with modern methods.
