The story behind the print
The buta is a teardrop, a flower and a seed all at once, drawn and woven for centuries, from Persian courts to Kashmiri shawls. You may know it as paisley, but in India it is older and more loved. It is the motif a family keeps and hands down.
We took that story and gave it a modern, quiet shape, something to wear, use and keep, with the patience of the original still in it. This design is inspired by the tradition and printed with modern methods.
